The Gospel

What is the gospel?

God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Humans were made with a spiritual element.  We are all seeking something beyond this world, our life, our body.  We were made with a fingerprint of something divine upon us.

There is a comon element throughout humanity of right and wrong.  This shows there is something beyond us.  We didn't make up right and wrong; it exists outside of human creation.

All of us have done things wrong.  Some more than others, but it doesn't really matter.  We've all done wrong.

God knows this, and being perfect needs perfection.  Jesus stood in the gap for us, lived the life we couldn't live, died the death we should die, all so we can be who we were made to be; children of God.  He did this for love.  This is the gospel; the good news that demands a reaction.  

Jesus gave everything, then was raised to new life by God.  The $100 gospel is a tiny model of giving, an easy reminder for all of us to give a little bit to whoever is in your path today; use that for their real needs, give them the opportunity to help others, remember what Jesus gave for us, and tell someone else about it.
